Healthwatch Tower Hamlets joined by another work placement candidate
For the last two weeks, we had our work placement candidate as part of our work placement programme. Read on to find out what type of work she got involved in and the kind of skills she learned during her time with us.
Healthwatch Tower Hamlets have had the pleasure of offering 5 Tower Hamlets residents paid work placement opportunities for a period of two weeks.
Three of the placements were offered to residents with learning disabilities and two to working-age residents.
The placement enabled the candidates to take part in a range of Healthwatch activities including creating promotional material for the Healthwatch website and social media channels.
Below you can read about our work placement candidates's experience of working with us.
- How did you find out about the work placements at Healthwatch TH? Working at Healthwatch Tower Hamlets was amazing. I absolutely enjoyed being in an office space doing all types of fun tasks. It was brilliant, I can’t wait to do more!
- What kind of things did you learn during your work placement? I have interacted with my co-workers in a professional manner as well as getting some feedback with the stuff from the posters I have done, as well as accepting the changes in an office setting at specific times.
- Did the work placement improve your learning/confidence or knowledge in a specific area? The best thing about the placement that is I have been creative with a lot of posters and flyers and as well as working in a hybrid setting (both home and in-office) and accepting changes in time where I get to finish all the tasks as indicated as well as some bonus tasks.
- What did you enjoy the most about the work placements? I enjoyed working both at home and in the office and I have managed to complete all the tasks.
