Voices of Maternity Care: Insights from the MNVP Quarterly Report (Q3 2024)
The latest MNVP Quarterly Report reveals key insights from service users, covering everything from waiting times and staff support to neonatal care and breastfeeding guidance. Read on to learn how these voices are shaping real improvements in local maternity services.

The MNVP Quarterly Report (Q3 2024) highlights key maternity and neonatal care concerns across Tower Hamlets, Waltham Forest, and Newham. Service users reported long waiting times for triage and induction, mixed experiences with staff support and communication, and inconsistent breastfeeding and neonatal care guidance. Concerns were also raised about the lack of structured postnatal mental health support and language barriers affecting accessibility.
To address these issues, MNVP conducted Walk the Patch visits, 15 Steps Maternity Surveys, and community coffee mornings, ensuring service users' voices influence hospital policies and care improvements.
Advocacy efforts extended to hospital committee meetings, maternity safety programs, and social media outreach, amplifying feedback and driving meaningful change.
