Healthwatch Tower Hamlets at the Bangladeshi Eid Mela 2025
On the 10th of April, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets representatives attended the Bangladeshi Eid Mela at the Sundial Community centre. It was an opportunity for us to engage and interact with the Bangladeshi community, it was a successful and lively event.
At the event, Healthwatch Tower Hamlets representatives were promoting our services along with our current research project on the Health Improvement Offer for Men with Cardiovascular Disease in Tower Hamlets. Many members of the community expressed their interest in taking part in our research and signed up for our newsletter. Other healthcare organisations were present at the Eid Mela, conducting prostrate cancer tests and blood pressure tests. At the end of the event, there was a raffle draw which provided the winners with the opportunity to win £20 pounds voucher each.
